Paper Birds

This is an 11x17 canvas painted with Pantone Acrylic Paints (which I just love) and textured with drywall mud and various papers and a tag...the birds were cut out of printed paper...Tim Holtz Distressed inks were use to age the piece...the hidden words, Imagine, Art and Create are sticker letters applied before painting the canvas...Enjoy!...

Birds of a Feather

Had an inspiration to do a bird painting...must be Diane's influence...I still have to frame this one however I thought I would share it for now...everything is paint except the lines the birds are on is black braided fishing line - Drew's idea and I liked it...this is on a 12 x 12 canvas...

Finally ART!

On Spring Break...spending time in Murrieta, CA and have a ball....time to do some ART!...here is a piece I just created for a birthday present for Diane Keys...the person I am spending spring break with....I was inspired by a piece in one of the Stampington publications....Diane gave me a wonderful traveling watercolor set by Sakura...the bird is watercolor and the rest of the piece is acrylic paints and misc other things....the bird is inspired from Susan Winget...a favorite artist of my friends...size is 9 x 12...

Also, had my eye surgery today so in a few more weeks I will be about to create art!!! and have more to share in the art line...Yeah!!

Finally an updated photo of the grandbaby....3 1/2 months old...it is a cell phone picture...not great but better than nothing....I need to take a trip out to California to take some good shots...and for other reasons....like to hold him...and play with him...and get him a crib so he can have David time...and give him lots of kisses....

Halloween for Queen's Ink in Savage MD

Here are a few samples I made for Queen's Ink in Savage MD...a really great paper arts store..the Alice tag is a layering of an embossed acetate tag from Hero Arts combined with Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland images...the card is also Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland and both projects were designed to show the Ranger Enamel Accents, a dimensional feature...plus a splash of Tim Holtz in there...
